whats your cooling setup for turbo
whats your turbo cooling setup? thermostat? oem rad? fans? i have an oem rad and fan and no thermostat and she overheats something terrible while im in boost. when she cools down and i open the cap all the fluid is still level. maybe a aftermarket rad and fan will do?

Custom Rcautoworks radiatorSpal 12in replacing low temp thermo with an oem. With no thermo though while on the dyno even under load the temps didnt even get to 200*with the fan cutting on at around 188*.

thats water wetter, and I have used it. Seems to improve things, however, if you have a major cooling problem it is not going to be a big enough bandage for that.

its over heating for a reason , check your rad to make sure fluid is flowing good under acceleration. ive boosted up to 500hp and never had a over heating problem.. and i was using a stock cooling system.

ok i found the problem i think....i changed the cap last month....last week when the car overheated on me i took the cap off and let the **** shoot out the rad....and guess what comes flying out...the rubber piece from the old cap...so im guessing that was the problem....it hasnt overheated since then

Re: whats your cooling setup for turbo
are you trying to do highway 5th gear pulls? you say it over heats while in boost.. how long are u staying in boost for?
my car gets hot after a 1/4 mile pass, but when i drive the car on the streets i dont go ripping around in boost and ive never had an overheating issue with a stock rad and fan.

Re: whats your cooling setup for turbo
Full size aluminum rad, 12" slim pulled, 10" slim pusher, no intercooler blocking airflow. (a2w) 160 tsat, straight water with wetter water. Never gets over 170. The manifold is also coated, and the turbine housing has a blanket, as well as a wrapped downpipe I plan to switch over to an electric waterpump during the offseason.
