Largest intercooler on a honda
What is the largest intercooler you have seen on a honda, whether it be street driven or race only?
I'm talking about air/air intercoolers.
It is debated whether a thicker intercooler is much better than a thinner one, but if thickness does not help that much, then why do most very high hp supras run the greddy 4 row (which is like 5 inches thick) aprrox. dimensions of core 24" X 12" X 5"
obviously all this only applies to very high horsepower applications with big turbos
does anyone know of a place that sells precision cores?

24" X 11" X 3" that is the size of the core I currently have.
I was debating going to a thicker one and using the one I already have on another car.
My Integra will be running very high boost 35+ psi with a SP71 GTQ turbo, so maybe the thicker one would help out some.

what kinda of power ar you trying to put down, most people ues the 24inch unit up to around 650hp and above the precision as1026 unit which is 750 rated is similar in size only different 3.5inch thick.

Why dont they make intercooler piping with cooling fins on the entire length of it? Make the entire system a sort of intercooler without the added volume and lag.
I was thinking of that too. Some sort of heatsink on the whole piping? The air flow of car should cool it? -=P
Wellz, im sure it wont be sufficient as a normal intercooler
But be different i guess.
TooOoo muCh trouble.. Thats why~

I think those are the cast Supra endtanks. They need to be extended so that the piping can fit around the body. If not, the intercooler is going to sit very far forward and the bumper may not fit. Thats how alot of us do it over here in Hawaii.
Have any of you large FMIC guys been able to compare the same setup using a smaller FMIC? I am wondering how much lag they add.
