in autoX, everything has to be mounted, it can not move at all. best bet is to start the datalogging, then strap the laptop down real good somehow, maybe mount a board to the floor and strap the laptop to the board, i donno....

My question is, what are you planning to gain while datalogging a autocross run? just curious

 

I autox with a guy that datalogs his runs. He isn't doing it for tuning but for analyzing his lines. He has a program that will trace one run over another (like granturismo kinda) so you can see how a different path affects the rest of the run. it's cool i guess, for nerds.

 

Contact your local police department and ask them where they get their laptop mounts.
