Kraftwerks and A/C
I have a 2008 Civic SI that I installed a KraftWerks SC kit on. I have been chasing Air Conditionings issues ever since (for almost a year). After driving at 75 to 80 for 10 to 15 minutes and then move into stop and go traffic, the A/C shuts off and blows hot air.
First I found leaks and fixed them. I've changed the relay X 6, changed the pressure sensor, changed the temperature sensor on the compressor, and now ready to dismantle the system to clean it internally (thinking that I overcharged with oil) and replace the compressor while I'm at it (one of my many tests indicated there was 12v to the compressor but the clutch wasn't engaged). The pressures are close to the Honda manual settings which I figure is within the accuracy of my Harbor Freight gages and there are no longer any leaks.
I live in the Houston TX area. Gets HOT.
Can anyone confirm or dismiss that there may be an inherent problem with the KW setup and A/C on these cars? The condenser sits directly behind the intercooler and as I said it gets hot in Houston.
Thanks in advance!

The KW Supercharger kit has absolutely nothing to do with the failing A/C... your issue is strictly coincidental. 8G Civics are notorious for having A/C compressor thermal switch failures... put another quality compressor on the car and you will likely be just fine after that (especially since you have done so much A/C system maintenance already).
