Default Knockoff SSAC Tial BOV

I'm wondering if anyone on here has tried using the knockoff SSAC Tial Blow off vavles. I'm wondering if they have any boost holding problems, if they're identical in performance to the real tial? I tried searching around and found one thread but it turned into a thread about the wastegate.

I want input mainly from the ones that are using this BOV. I don't care about what you think it'll do or how the company is. I WANT FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE.

I have ran 20 psi (wrong setup boost controler on the dyno) and 13 psi all day on mine, works great, but i traded + cash for a real one, they are same, cast and everything, sound the same, works the same, it's one PRODUCT SSautocrome did right.

Good Buy for the $$$

I read countless testimonies on h-t and homemadeturbo where people had nothing but positive things to say about them. Everyone uses them.

I would myself, but they're still kind of pricey. A type-h knock-off is only $50 but the Tial knock-offs are still $130.

you don't even have to run a bov so doesn't matter! hahaha but i would probably use their tial style bov. their wg's seem to be ok too.

I have never seen a problem with any SS blow off valves and I use them or DSM only as there is no point in dropping 2-250 for a name brand.

i got my ssauto tial knockoff for $70..

looks exactly the same inside and out. my car isnt finished yet so i tested it on my other honda and the spring was stiffer than ****. i had to cut 2 coils off it so it would open halfway at idle. thats what i want it to do right?

Hmmm. . . This is interesting. Is this really what you want a BOV to do, or do you just want them to be close to opening at idle vacuum so the excess compressor pressure will pop them open? I never thought about it to much I guess. . .

well as soon as you ever so slightly hit the gas it closes immediatly. all bov's ive seen are open at idle.

even if they do work ok for some, you're still buying from a really shitty company that doesn't give a **** about you, the sport, or the industry. and when it's all said and done, you've still got a questionable product.

all to save 70 bucks.....SSAC can shove that up BOV right up there

save 70 bucks?

lets see

ssac tial knockoff = $70

real deal tial = $220

savings = $150!!!!!!!!!

and the quality of the ssac 50mm bov is amazingly comparable to the real tial.
and besides its just a BOV, come on $220 for a BOV?!?!?!

I just got mine. It looks good, but you can definitely tell there is a difference between the real thing and the knock off. Not anything to be alarmed about or that will make it not function. The main thing is that the cast isnt perfect. It has some small chips here and there, but nothing major. Inside with the diaphragm and by the valve everything looks perfect. For the most part I was pretty happy for paying a 1/3 of the price of a regular one. Plus its the bov, not the wastegate, its not as critical.

I don't think his point had anything to do with the money, it's the fact that you're supporting a company who sells shitty products and then won't back them up when they break or ruin your setup. The worst part is that they claim to be real deal products when they clearly aren't.

I'd rather pay the money and support companies like Greddy honestly.

there are plenty of name brand companies that dont back up their product once they break, b/c they are meant for race and "off road". SSAC just has a lot of crappy products in general. A few of them seem to be ok though.
