Default knock sensor

Alright im trying to hook up my obd-1 conversion and i just want to make sure im cutting the right wire. Is the knock sensor the one above the oil filter with only one wire coming off of it. The wire im talking about is yellow/red. This is a a6 block wiht z6 head. TiA

isn't that your oil dummy light? Did it have a rubbe boot over it.

he said the one above the oil filter .. the oil dummy light is right next to the oil filter to the left if ur looking at the front of the car .. the knock sensor is usually green connector rightin between the im and the oil filter

Thanks looks like a bit to get to with intake on. Yea i was talking about the rubber boot one glad i asked. I had a feeling it was wrong i just know it was one wire or atleast thats how many wires rywire told me to hook up

Ok one more question when i was installing the head we made sure the plug out of the block was taken out. But is there a plug in the head that can be either in or out???
