Default knife edged crank vs. f/i

I maybe want to use a knife edged crankshaft in a f/i B18C6. What's your opinion on that? I want to boost not more than 1.2 Bar (17 psi) 'cause i also use the car on track.

I know, Honda engines have a windage tray, but for me it's important to have a lighter crankshaft: less mass = better response. Is that save? The crank is well balanced, so vibrations are not a problem (i used the same crank in my 2 Liter n/a engine). I'm afraid, that a knife edged is not that solid as a stock crank.

Anyone have experience with that combination?

Try a lighter flywheel.

Well i already have a lighter flywheel. And also a knife edged crank. The question is, is a the crank with less mass strong enough for a boosted engine?

could try it and let us know? if you wanted to go even lighter i would try a ctr n1 pully first

I dont know what kind of racing you do but if you do drag then lighter isnt always better...

I use my car for road racing, so good response is important.

So nobody here tried that?
