they're apparently pretty popular over seas...even the blitz turbo kits use them..and a lot of OEM's use them
i keep seeing stuff about the k26...although i don't really know what to compare them to

If you are looking to make a 300whp+ a K26 K3T can produce up to 470whp. Top Fuel the K3T on their circuit CTR. If you need 500whp+ a K27 hybrid or straight K27 will be needed. K26's size comparison varies from the smallest T3 to T4/T3. If you have a B-series motor stay away from the ultra small K24 because your powerband will be spool fast and then fall on your face fast.

I have a unmodded d-series and would like a quick spooling turbo, I'm only looking around 150-165 hp--with decent torque. Would the k24 be ideal for my goals.

I've got K26 (same as T3) it work's perfect, only bad thing is that developes only 300whp here in europe you can find a lot kkk turbos..audi's, vw's, porsche's use them..
