Default just a lil nitrous question

i have a 50 wet shot in my gsr and i melted a plug the other night so i pulled timing back 2 degrees and got new plugs, so i got NGK zfr5f-11 . they are 2 steps colder then stock but they look like they are a bit longer after the treads, like the part that is in the combustion camber. any one use these plugs?

Put one in the engine. Spin it over by hand. If it contacts then don't use them.

I don't think anyone has a interference cross-reference for every single plug out there.

If your running a wet setup you should NOT have to retard the timming at all...Look at fuel pressure or might be the nozzle facing a little off....

i have an all motor ecu, that advances timing. it could have been the nozzle. i moved the location, ill have to try it out and see how it feels.

Use NGK POWER-9 AKA V-9. Im running a 100shot and my Dyno tuner guy recommends those plugs on nitrous. They run alot cooler.

dude! WTF, you dont need to retard timing on a wet kit??????? WTF kinda answer is that????

that is why peoples **** gets blown up.

the number in the ngk plug such as bkr7e11, the first number represents the heat range, such as a range of 7 this is a pretty cool plug, you have the 5 series that is a hotter plug more along the lines of an allmotor plug.

the higher the number the colder the plug. if you find some 7s 8s or 9s, you will notice the electrode tip is getting lower and lower as the number goes up, thus trying to reduce the heat range and chance of it melting.

if you have an allmotor ecu, such as a spoon, js-racing,mugen, all of thos give major advances in timing, so i would pull 2 degrees to be safe
