Just got my turbo kit, now got a couple questions
I just got my drag gen 3 kit for my integra gs-r. The guy at the place where I bought the kit from said to shift before 3k rpm for the first 300 miles because the seals and everything else is brand new. Is this really necessary or was he being overly cautious? Also what is the best oil to use? I am thinkin of switching to mobil 1 synthetic. Any other advice would be appreciated. Thanks guys

i dont think there is a breakin on a turbo, they are balanced already, the only thing you should do is prime the turbo with oil befor you start it for the first time, but i could be wrong on the breakin i would see what other peeps have to say.

Re: (busakiller)
1) oil gets to the turbo in like .2 seconds from starting the motor if everything is ok, and it doesn't really matter if it's .2 seconds or 35 seconds cuz most of them don't spin at idle anyways, so there really is no risk of damage -- but many people will tell you to "prime it" so do what you want, I don't bother.
2) no breakin on turbo that you have to think about, just drive. If everything is working ok, there should be no metal to metal contact, since it's a floating bearing -- hence, nothing to break in.

Aren't you suppose to crank the motor without it starting to get the oil up to the turbo before starting the engine.....
yep, take the number 1 plug wire off and do quick on/off cracks
