when you are loosing power on the dyno and blowing blueish smoke, you stop the dyno, and do not make any more runs. but he still tryed to tune it

i was not there to watch this happen but it is hard for me to belive but you also have to remember that if he is given a sick motor there is nothing he can do about it. the dyno is really hard on cars in general i would bring anything to tom and the boys to tune any day. for tom and the boys

i really don't understand why you would bring someting to tune when it was blowing blue smoke anyway. and how did the motors blow up anyway were the pistons gone or rings or what. They could have done bad **** to the motor before they brought it to tom.

no, it was not blowing smoke when he brought it, tom installed new valves, valve springs and retainers, and cams. put it on the dyno and ran fine for a few runs. then it started to blow smoke, and loose power. but he continued to run it on the dyno untill he blew the motor

Payn did a superb and very comprehensive job tuning my turbo ITR. Tom also has given me excellent pricing on all the hardware I have purchased there..

Every car project is an experiment..unfortunately sometimes the experiment fails, you pick up and rebuild, and don't make the same mistake..

The data from the pull should indicate whether too much timing, or not enough fuel caused the failure, if not then look at the mechanical part..
