blown motor after 19,00 miles
well blew my motor after only about 19,000 miles on her, I put a hole in the top of the piston in #1, so this is what happen I was getting the car tunned and it wasent making the kind of power we thought it was supose to and it was smokin quite a bit and then finally she poped. The current setup on the car is Skunk2 stage 2 cams, PnP head, crower springs reatainers, I, H, E, and a hondata to tune her. It just looks like the motor didnt like the stage 2's oh well build another

dont worry guys I will post pics and let everone know what happend. The car made 180/123 with stock cams and then when we put the skunk 2's in we made about the same power and it was smoken quit a bit so we knew something was wrong.

You have never seen Jake drive.
Unlike most of the country, Michigan ITR owners tend to treat our cars as disposable items. Jake, SackDZ, Myself....... Break it and built it better.

Yeah i'd have to agree w/ this. The ITR owners in MI do tend to do that, especially the 2 in portage (ed and jake) haha. Jake does drive like a crazy man and i love it. Can't wait till shes back.

I have pics right now
But I won't post um....
It looks like fragments of pistons and valves shot back through the intake ports and into the other cylinders... 2,3, and 4 have lots of pieces of cyl 1 hardware...

Yikes... So, do the intake ports have gouges on them or any damage?
