I ran out of time so I had to tune on the drive to the dyno. Luckly the drive was 1hr and everything fell right into place. AFR is pretty much as good as it can get. The only bad thing was that I only had time to tune on low boost (8psi). I'm actually very happy on my torque readings cause this is daily driven and I like to keep my rpms down around town.

Not to shabby for 8psi
What fuel management are you using?
Did you go to a dyno day, rent the dyno for an hour, or just make 3 pulls?
I am going to dyno my car at torqufreaks this winter! I'm looking forward to it

Re: (Mad Chemist)
It looks lean but I doubt my wideband is that far off from actual. The wideband they used for the dyno was stuck in my tailpipe, this reads at least .5 leaner than it really is. I tuned it for 13:1, dipped it to 12.5:1 when it starts to reach redline.
Here's my setup
b18b1 all stock motor besides shot peened rods
450cc dsm
afcII
16g turbo running off wastegate
custom made exhaust manifold w/small primaries
2.5" exhaust all the way back
small ic
That's pretty much all of it. As soon as I get some fuel bugs figured out, I'm going to turn the boost up to 12

i can just imagine a bad tank of gas ..... and *boom*
i think what everybody here is suggesting is to richen it out a bit, just to have a lil more room for safety

So wait a min, you tuned it for 13:1 and only dipped to 12.5:1 at or near redline? In which case you're basically running 13:1 for 95% of the pull?
<-- would hate to be your plugs

Re: (VTC_CiViC)
Enough with my afr readouts. I'm a pretty experience tuner and if there's one thing I know, it's how high afr an engine can take. People are so worried about afr readings, they really don't know the majority of detonation comes from timing. You can run a really safe afr and if you're timing is off, it doesn't matter how much fuel you're giving it, it'll detonate. The same can be said for timing, but often is not the case. If you run a really safe timing map, and happen to hit a lean spot, more than likely you'll be fine as long as it's not too lean. ****, I've even tuned a boosted Camaro at 14:1 w/ safe timing for dyno#'s and it was more than fine. I didn't let him go out on the streets w/o a wideband, but that just goes to show how high you can take afrs. Tuners usually tune there customer's cars on the rich side for the "just in case" insurance.
There's just so many advantages of running your car as lean as you can. Hotter exhaust temp makes turbos spool up much faster, and builds higher velocity which stimulates bigger exhaust pipes. You'll get higher torque readings. The only downfall would be detonation which can be avoided with timing retard, and high temps. All you tuners out there know what I'm talking about.
I was running race gas cause I thought I would have a chance to turn the boost up. I ran out of time on the fwy so I just ran at what I tuned at.
Kameirocco, salem is quite small so if you're asking me which part of salem I live in, I live in N Salem
