Default Just did a blockguard today..Help..?

It is an AC Autotechnic blockguard/sleeve saver. I put it on a b17 bottom I have...Was it supposed to fit right in?...I had to do some grinding and really hammer that sucker in there...Its only about a 1/2 inch in...Is that good?...Or should it go all the way to the bottom?...Thanks

Ack! You're supposed to read up on how to install these things before you install them.

You should:
Drop it in there
Grind it down till it drops in

You shouldn't:
Hammer or force it in

If I were you I would get the block honed to make sure that yout cylinder walls aren't warped.

I HIGHLY suggest you get a bore and hone done on your block before you use it. By hammering it in you were likely to warp and distort the sleeves somewhat...

yeah dude, your supposed to take a dremel to the blockgaurd to make it fit. it should slip in without hammering. the sleeves are probably egg shaped now

and its supposed to stay at the top of the bore dont make it go all the way down. Grind it till it drops in and stays near the top.
