just boosted now smoke
i just put on my turbo and i am getting what looks like blue smoke. it would only smoke a little during full throttle before boost but now any throttle over 40% will give me a crap load of smoke. i plan on doing a comp test tonight but what else could it be?

doesnt matter if the turbo is brand new... seals can go bad in 5 minutes of idling... what does your oil return look like... how big is it? any kinks? where does it drain into the pan?

Re: (SoSlo)
I agree with what he said about the seals in the turbo...mine does the same...mine is over 6 grand.....even at idle...because my oil pressure goes over a certain rpm at 6 grand....if you need to drive it then ****....drive it.

Re: just boosted now smoke (SoSlo)
your oil return line might not be high enough. i had a similar problem where i was blowing smoke. i had the turbo rebuilt and still did the same thing. i bought another turbo and still did the same thing. i tapped the block for the oil return and haven't had a problem since. one way to know would be oil dripping out the compresor outlet. crankcase pressure is forcing oil back up the return and over flowing out the seals. the other is to check your plugs and see how they look like. you can also remove the turbo and see if your engine is smoking. might not always be the turbo. another thing would be valve stem seals. those are easily over-looked.
