Default just boosted now extra coolant in overflow

ill make this short and simple
ran motor for 6 months no problems ran great
arp head studs are used about 10 times
cometic headgasket .71 or something liek that

now i am boosted on 6-8 psi (i am pretty sure its 6 my guage is off starts at 2 psi at no vacuum) greddy kit 15 g

checked coolant today second day and my over flow had extra coolant about 2 cups or what not.

could my arps be streched used to many times? or does the cometic gasket need extra tq since its so much thicker?

arps tq to 65lbs.

Have you really re-used your ARP's 10 times? Are you overheating? What motor is this?

yes give or take 2 times. I had a blown headgasket problem over and over again i thought it was a timing issue. Later i found out that my sleeves has sunk. So i sent out the block ot laskey to get it rebuilt. After the rebuild i needed to get a thicker headgasket because i had piston to head contact. I ordereded the cometic .71 gasket.

tq everything down to 65 lbs (i have previously tq them down to 70lbs) im not sure why i did 65 lbs. I guess after reading over and over people just do 65 i didnt want to over tq them sicne i have snapped one arp stud before but that was human error.

anyway 2nd day of boosting look into my coolant overflow and blamo there was more then i started with. I looked under the cap and it was missing coolant in the radiator. So its been blowing out of the rad into the over flow. There are bubbles coming from the tube in the overflow which leads me to believe it is teh head gasket or that my studs have been streched too much and needs replaced.

y7 AEBS sleeved
Eagle Rods
cp pistons

head is fully built and zex 59300

Yep your head gasket is either lifting under boost or the arp's are worn.
I don't know how you torque'd yours but when did my arp's on my y8 w/new oem hg, i did in steps following the helms manual.

i am thinking they are worn since the problem didnt exist 6 months prior.

i did mine in steps did hand tight, 20 lb, 45 lb, 65 lb in the correct order.

i may go back and re tq them down to 70 to see if that helps if not then im going to buy new arps.

question now is can the cometic gasket be re used agian...i only ask becuase recently i have heard of people reusing their metal gaskets. if not then im out another 100+ on a custome gasket.

i would get new studs or could try to torque them down more. you are for sure pushing coolant out from cylinder pressure

My best suggestion is to get new head studs.
Check the deck of the block and head with a straight edge and a feeler guage.
DO NOT re-use the headgasket.
