just boosted.... few problems
i just put on my turbo kit a few days ago, running off fmu but plan on tuning the middle of next month with neptune. sometimes the car studders real bad when i am tryin to accelerate, feels kind of like when you try to start out in 5th or something....My other concern is when i get on it pretty good it will throw a cel but if i take it easy the cel will never come on. im scared to drive it but have no choice, wtf is wrong with it?

yea, fmu is the problem but i dont think its causing the cel, do you have anything to keep the map sensor from seeing boost?

so you have a bypass valve or something like it?
see if you can pull the cel, if we knew the code it would help out.

missing link is alot better than checkvalves, fmu is not causing that problem check everything like the plugs and wires, fmu is safe up tp 10 psi all day long dont listen to people that never had experience about fmu's Those guys dont even know how to change their oil.

i think i can change my oil... i can also blueprint and balance a bottom end, degree cams, pretty much everything.
the fmu is juswt a halfass way to do fuel management

well....my friend never came over to check the code....earlier today i put new plugs in and it ran good and wasnt doing the studdering thing for about 10 minutes....then it is the same as it was before the new plugs....later on in the day, i am driving down the road and all of a sudden my car just dies and wont crank, it will turn over and try to crank but wont, a friend of mine finds a blown ecu fuse in the fuse panel in the engine bay....as soon as we put another fuse in it blows....we end up blowin liek 5 15 and 20 amp fuses between the "ecu" and "backup" fuses, so we put 30 amp fuses in both and they dont blow but then the car will crank up but as soon as it does it will die, sorry for the unorganized post

well, its a problem if you keep blowing fuses. does ti do it with the other ecu's? if so you ahve a wiring problem that you have to fix.
the fmu is probably causing the stuttering. new plugs... when you go into boost the fmu is dumping so much fuel that it fouls the plugs, what are your plugs gapped at and what kind of plugs are oyu running?

What is the circuit that blows the fuse? Alternator solenoid?
Trace that circuit, don't just keep throwing fuses in it!

you sir don't know what the hell you're talking about. 10 psi x 12 = 120 psi of fuel pressure PLUS your base pressure of approximately 40 psi. show me a fuel pump that can provide 160 psi of fuel pressure constantly.
oh and yes I ran an FMU. at 7 psi. with an INLINE fuel pump, which put my fuel pressure at full boost at just about 124 psi, which was just about the max capability of the INLINE fuel pump.
oh and I can change my own oil too.

You can't be doing this man... if you kept on blowning fuses...the car is trying to tell ya something. By putting a 30 amp fuse there will only make things worse for ya. Find out where the short is coming from first and put back the recommended fuse back in the correction location before something else happens.
Time to bring out the books and do a little tracing to find the problem(s).

theres a guy down here.......its a red eg i believe....gsr turbo/nitrous....ran low 10's or high *** nines......ran it on an FMU
fmu's do suck though....i wouldnt run em on my car

ive been on a vafc and fmu set up for about 2 1/2 years now on the same motor at 8-10 psi on stock injectors and a walboro so dont knock fmu's if youve never used them i drive this car everyday 30,000 miles since boosted, some people dont have access to more expensive forms of engine management. If you tune it properly any setup can last.
when you checked your cel what code did you get ?
your running 4psi on what turbo and motor?

i would have to agree with CRX T-SI<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by CRX T-Si »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">You can't be doing this man... if you kept on blowning fuses...the car is trying to tell ya something. we where having a problem with my car... i just did not crank it and we traced every wire, and took out ever fuse / relay and checked it.... but in the end it was something so ridiculous but we still kept the car out of harms way... you cant replace something with more power... because then he fuse wont blow but the circuit will....
