Default Junkyard turbos?

So my friend is thinking about a ghetto turbo install on a V-twin bike. Not much money invested in snail or bike, so he's looking for a junkyard turbo. Bike in question is an 1100 cc, so we're thinking a factory 4cyl turbo would fit the bill.

Here are the donor cars I could think of:

240/740 Volvos
First-gen Eclipse/Talon
First-gen Probe/MX6
300-series turbodiesel Mercedes (might be too big)
Saab 900/9000

What else could he grab the turbo from?

i would suggest a t25 off of a 95-99 eclipse unless your motor revs very high. YOu might wanna try homemadeturbo.com.

a v-twin is a biker bike, not a sport bike (i think) so its prolyl geared more towards lower end power..

I would say a very small t3, like a .42/.48 or even smaller maybe like a rhb5 or a small Chevy sprint turbo..

I have a friend with a fresh reman Schwitzer S1, which is a common bike turbo. He needs something a touch bigger than that for his Civic, he might be interested in selling it.

The t-bird turbo would be a bit to large, its a 60trim with a .63 ar exhaust housing.. **** they have a fair amount of lag on a d16, i couldnt imagne that on a 1100 cc bike..

Yeah, the Thunderbird Turbo would definetly be way too big for 1100cc's.

My vote goes with the T25... or maybe even a T2

Thanks for the input. Yeah, the bike he's looking at is a cruiser, so no high rpm's there. They have a decent amount of low-end grunt already, so lag isn't that much of an issue. At least not when you account for how much he wants to put into it

And compression is a boost-friendly 8.0:1.
