Junkyard turbo??? Which
I don't own a honda but it seems as if the honda guys have been doing this for awhile. I am trying to get a turbo for a 4AGE. It is a 1.6 liter toyota motor that pulls to 7500 without a hessitation and can easily pull past that with the rev limiter fixed. I am going to turbo it and have found some turbo's at the junkyard and need someone to help me pick a good one.
98 vw passat 1.8 kkk k03 or garret gt15 I dunno which it is but that is what I found for info for it.
86 Dodge Daytona garrett TB0335
Volvo 740 mitsubishi TD05, TD04h, and garrett TB0363 (there is 3 volvo's)
Nissan 300z t25, t3
I don't want alot of boost (7-10psi). I want to spool around 2800 and be at full tilt by 6000. All of these turbos are off motors with less than 50k. The VW has 28k and the turbo is mint. NO SHAFT PLAY at all. I also have a 1st gen Talon turbo or Eclipse turbo. Is it to much turbo for the motor? Thanks in advance and don't tell the toyota guys I was here.

You'll be fine with any of those turbo's. You should look into the ko3/ko3s, founded on the GTI and Jetta's. With any of the turbo's you choose, must get a custom made manifold, dp, dt. Then everything will fall into place, as you do more research on how to assemble a turbo kit. GL!

Re: Junkyard turbo??? Which (VTECth1s)
Its not a gt15 but KKK K03 on the vw. It does not use a normal turbo mount though like a t3. I can probable get a conversion kit for it or have one made. I have the turbo manifold but it has a t3 plate on it. I am going to check them all out before I lock into any of them though. It seems to me though that the VW would be the best suited as I should not lag so bad from it. Thanks
