Jsrc Gsr Build Help
Hello HondaTech. Im new to the engine building process so i have a few questions to try to get a nice amount of hp and torque and reliability out of my setup. My plans are to build a Jrsc gsr. I want to have 10psi so i decided to use a b20 crank pulley. As far as the engine i have plans on putting a ls crank in my gsr block, ls rods, and type R usdm pistons. As far as the head i have plans on keepin the gsr cams because throughout my research i found that they are the best but im wondering what the Gsr/Itr combo would work like. Im going with complete type R valvetrain and skunk 2 tuner series cam gears. other things i plan on buyin is an aftermarker fpr, and fuel rail and the LHT intercooler to help reduce heat soak that i have read about. This setup will be tuned on hondata, neptune, or chrome by Matt Shue. Now here is my questions...1. will the usdm type R pistons give me to much compression for the supercharger and if so what are the best oem pistons to use? 2.if i go with the gsr/itr cam combo, do i buy the itr intake cam or exhaust cam. 3. which engine management should i go with. 4. what is a rough estimate of how hp can be made with this setup. Thanks honda-tech in advanced. If there is something i should change or not do feel free to tell me but i dont want turbo, or nitrous.
