jrsc/vafc help
I just had a VAFC installed on to my GSR i am running a 8lb pulley but for some reason yesterday when we were trying to tune the fuel i was hitting 13lbs on the boost guage. not sure that was right because when i got near my house when i was messing with the fuel i got on it the boost faded and bam my belt exploded ( the one going from the supercharge to the altenator) so now i need a new belt. but was wondering if any one has any sugestions as far as tuning the fuel on the VAFC. i am running 440cc imjectors so i dont know where to set the % at so i wont have to run a FMU. Or should i run one to be safe? and what are the thoughts on the 13lbs i was hitting? was it because of to much fuel? thanks

how much boost u make with the jrsc has absolutly nothing to do with how much fuel u have... its all about the the pulleys and belts, and size of the blower....... my guess is either ur gauge is messed up..... or u tightend the **** out of ur belt so that there was little or no belt slip and caused u to gain a little more boost and at the same time blew the belt because it was over tightened so much..
but even if it wasnt over tightened belts go bad... its a common thing with roots type blowers.

If you are referring to what base map to start out with, start at -40% and watch your A/F gauge ... tune from there.
