Default JRSC tech question

I read through the FAQ but did not come across this. Can you buy the B18c5 R supercharger part #989-600 and use it on a B16? Lets say looking at a used one but you came across this. I know the heads are the same or close too. Is this a easy install or will it be a pain in the butt?

it will work fine, i had the r kit on my 00 civic si and then i had the same kit on when i swaped the block for a gsr which essentially would be the same as itr motor in lenght. The only thing i think is different is that the itr kit comes with the largest blower pulley giving the least amount of boost for the base kit.

Nose pulley sizes:

ITR: 4.2"
Civic Si: 4.2"
GS-R: 4.0"

If you remove the nose pulley, you void the warranty on the blower. That's a common reason that people use a crank pulley or alternator stepper pulley to up the boost. That's supposedly the reason that the JR boost upgrade kit no longer comes with a supercharger pulley. It now comes with a crank pulley.

Thanks Sonny, I guess if i come across this problem i would just upgrade the boost. i am sure it would prolly be enough for me untill the car is sold. not looking to make 300 to the wheels or anything. just alittle more then stock.
