Default JRSC installing right now...need help

I got a wierd question...well, i un did the 10 inatke manifold bolts on my 99 si and the damn intake manifold would not budge...Jackson racing instructions were just what i did...

but i found out that there were two more bolts bolting down my IM towards the firewall? Why did the instructions not mention that the IM is still bolted down to this metal piece under it? Is this normal? I saw a picture of another guys motor and i'm not sure i saw this metal bracket?

Basically what i want to know is will the blower fit if that metal bracket is there because it seems like the blower won't fit. Do all B16's have that metal bracket or i'm just paranoid because the instructions left out some info.

Also how the hell do you get to the 12mm bolt that undos the AC tensioner to take off the AC belt? I'm been trying and my knuckles are all cut up. I just can't fit a socket in there so i'm trying to undo the bolt with a short 12mm wrench. Any suggestions! I'm trying to get this done soon. Thanks so much!

That bracket is standard...not sure if the blower will fit with it, though. I bet you're supposed to use it, since the blower weighs alot more than the stock intake manifold!

get rid of that bracket, 2 bolts hold it to the block on the bottem of it, the bracket is to support the IM but in reality most of the time it just makes to so your IM gasket leaks

I think you should be okay running w/o it. I've have my ITR manifold w/o that gay bracket there for couple months now & no problems... just torque the IM studs/nuts to spec & check them periodically.
