At minimum you would need the fmu. For higher boost you would want to run actual engine management like crome, netpune, etc instead.

If it wont start then it is fuel/ignition/compression. If you have 35lbs at the rail then that is sufficient for it to start. Have you had the head off or the distributor out? Are you sure the timing is correct.

By the way the stock JRSC FPR is fine for up to 8lbs boost. You won't get the most power out of it but it will run fine.

the head was off ...the timing is dead on the spark is hard and strong just cant figure it out...35 lbs b4 the rail it primes then wants to fire then just starts cranking over...

Correct me if im wrong but the original poster was asking if the stock honda FPR was ok to run with 5 psi. To that I can say a definite no. You will end up blowing your motor the stock honda ecu won't correctly adjust fuel for 5 psi.

The above poster is saying it is safe to run the Jackson Racing FPR/FMU for 5 psi not the oem honda one. Just had to clarify.

Fmu's are ok to run for only 5 psi but it certainly isn't the safest way and wont make as much power as a properly tuned motor. Search on here for more info on FMU's and you will see what I am talking about.
