Default JRSC OR GREDDY KIT

Im in the process of either getting a used D-series JRSC with 800 miles on it or a Greddy turbo kit that has been sitting for 1 year and i need oil lines and an oil pan fitting but the turbo was oiled and bagged before stored. Which would you buy??

build your own setup unless you're getting a used Greddy kit because they're not worth the cost brand new...

On a d series you definitaley want to go with a turbo. The jrsc m45 blower is just too small. You'd be lucky to get 180hp with a supercharger, where as a turbo would put you in the 250hp+ range.....safely.

This is really a toss-up. You can always upgrade the Greddy kit, but you're kinda stuck with the JRSC. You can only turn it up so much, but with the 15G you can at least upgrade. I believe they use a t25 flange for the inlet, so you can always upgrade to a bigger turbo like a GT2871R, or just a wheel (16G, etc).

As they stand, the JRSC will obviously have better response if you're below 3k rpm, but over that and the small turbo will be making boost before you can blink your eye.

power per dollar turbo hands down, d series dont really benefit a whole lot from jsrc cept on some extreme levels. how much is this greddy kit? piecing together a turbo kit is one of the best ways IMO.

talk to sovxvietday... i believe he's had both

he had a jrsc, didn't deliver enough power up top... swapped to turbo, and never looked back.

i THINK it was soviet... can't remember...

you already have a turbo.... use what you got. you'll have more fun, and it will be cheaper for you!

I'd say turbo... And I like jrsc's lol. I'd say jrsc if you had a bigger displacement motor.
