a stock JRSC setup should not produce 9 psi without upgraded pulley(s). You may have improper cam adjustments or a restrictive exhuast system. But to further verify you question, my buddy accidenlt left a UD crank pulley on his car when he installed a JRSC and boost was lower than promised so a UD crank will drop boost. If you plan to get tuned in the near future, save yourself some work and just zip tie the SC bypass valve open and run NA.
