Default JG Engine Dynamics and their service??

Has anybody else recieved the runaround or very long turnaround time for any of there shortblocks. I've been waiting for a month or so now, and when I ordered it they said a couple weeks. Then I called back 2 weeks ago and they told me that it's done and will be shipped and I should recieve it in 5-7 days. Well, that didn't happen. I bought a pro series block and they already cashed my check and they keep delaying my product.

Anybody else recieve this treatment.

OK, I am not sure on where to start on this. I ordered my shortblock on 12/31/01. I received a built block on May 5th, 2002. It was COMPLETE junk. The sleeves were completely scratched up. I immediately called JG but got no response for a week so I called the credit card company to let them know what was happening. The next day after I called the CC company, Javier called me and said that the trucking company would pick up the block the next day and he would have another block for me ASAP. The trucking company then picked up the block the next day as promised. Here are pics of the first block http://www.midwestimports.bizland.com/Bradengine.htm

2 months went buy and I still hadn't got a block. I finally received the new one on July 11th. I have many concerns about it as well. I have also posted other topics BECAUSE of this engine I have now sitting on my bench. I will not put it in because I just want my money back. Here is a post https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=237925

Personally, I just want my money back at this point so I can take my business elsewhere.

Luckily, I have my credit card company to back me up. You on the other hand paid by check so you have nothing to fall back on. Now you know why they don't accept credit cards anymore. They are a rip off company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My $.02 from experience with them.

Good luck to you.

I found that they were slow, and You should double check their clearances. My rod end play clearances were over the service limits ( reused an old crank ).

uh oh, that's not good news guys. I paid by check and they seem to give me the runaround. Is there any way to possibly get my money back if the block they send me is crap?

I thought they were a reputable company that did good work. I hope this turns out O.K or $3000+ of my money just went to ****!

I sent a b-16a2 to them to have assembled.
Block was already sleeved , had them install Crower rods and custom Arias 13-1 pistons. the motor lasted 1200 miles. When we tore the motor down the piston wall clearence in all four cylinders was completly wrong. My advice defenitly send your motor to someone else.

they suck, my friend bought a fully built pro gen 2 motor it took about 3months to get here when my friend payed up front and they prommised 3wks tops and it came with broken valve cover, broken thermostat housing, then they didnt send him a header he payed for, a intake mani they said they were gona ship him along with injectors, then right now (about 6 or so months since i installed it for him) his TITANIUM retainer broke and dropped a valve and while this adventure we found out that it only came itwh single valve springs not dual...
they suck

my .02 cents..

Somebody should tell them you don't have to paint aluminum motors....

Oh yeah, I guess they paint them black to hide the oil leaks. That's one thing I learned a LONG time ago back when I had cars with cast iron blocks Don't use black paint on them because you'll never be able to see your leaks!

from what i have read here, they get moderate business. i'm not saying its all good, or its all bad. just if a place doesnt do good work, why they stay in business in a mystery?

Well, as far as I'm concerned all of their work is junk. I've only encountered a couple "good" dealings with them. The rest have been

I think they pay stunnaz to assemble blocks over there and spraypaint them

My thoughts exactly. Any business that would have as many problems as everyone claims would not stay in business. I have spoken with Javier numerous times on the phone and he stands behind his work. This BS about painting the blocks to cover up repairs, is just that BS. The block I sent them, is the same block I recieved back, and in the time they told me (3wks). About they only thing I can agree upon with everyone is that the lady that awnsers the phone is a b*tch.

if Javier himself assembled it then it's fine. But if one of his shop flunkies did it.......

I am bagging on the lady who answers the phone. REad my post. Rons engine was disassembled by me, and return to me to finish putting everything back on. That engine is perfect.

You need to stop listening to idiots.

umm yeah, that witch that answers the phone really pisses me off! I called 10 times one day and they never picked it up. And when she picks it up and I tell her my name it's always can u hold please, like she's going to think of another excuse. 2 weeks ago she said they were waiting for rod bearings. I called yesterday to see what the deal was and she put me on hold again for 5 minutes and told me that they were waiting for rings and that they came in friday and that the motor would be done monday and shipped out tuesday.

Thanks allot guys for ur 2 cents but in a way all this negative criticizm is scaring me. Anyone out here that actually is happy with the product(s) they recieved from them?????????????

I finally got through today and talked to a guy. Javier was in a meeting and will return my call personally. I will discuss some issues with him and have him check this motor personally. I'm sure everything will be fine but nevertheless I'll keep u guys posted if this block comes in hacked and wacked.
