jdm gsr ecu chipable?
Hi, I was reading somewhere that you cannot chip the jdm P72 ecu.
Is that true for all the plug and play thing chips (ie. Hondata, Neptune, crome, uberdata).
I have never heard of that before.... I believe that the p28 will work for me as well but i loose some things
Please clear this up for me HT

jdm ecu's use surface mount components from what i remember..
also, the only thing you will lose is the IAB control, but if you are running an aftermarket intake mani then it wont be a problem

Re: (gapergurlie_18)
Yes, it is chippable. IMO, the surface mount made the chipping process easier, with the exception of the TINY capacitors you have to install.
Check out http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin...lCase, its for a JDM small case, but should be similar. Also, http://www.moates.net is where I got my chip kit, the kit costs $15 bucks and the burner is another $80, datalogging is $30 from there and comes with a USB cable. Not too hard, just be careful.
