jb weld on intercooler pipes?
no it will not work properly. just take it to a local welder even a good muffler shop will be able to do it for you but dont use the jb weld

no way just get a silicon coupler
how u have 3500 post and ask such a newbie question?

Well people use jb weld on almost anything. If a silicone coupler with clamps can hold them together, why wouldnt jbweld be able to?
And exactly how is it a newbie question? I guess everyone with a few thousand posts must know everything?

Know enought not to use jb welb on intercooler pipes

I used jb weld for a bov flange on a aluminum pipe before, I used it for a while, and I still have the pipe in my garage still in tact. but I dont think it will hold a pipe together, vibration will break it. you can just mark the pipes and take it to shop, or use silicone couplers

Well I knew enough to ask before considering it. If you're gonna be an *** about it, don't reply to my thread. Thanks to the replies though.

i did the same- it works great...it was an aluminum flange onto a steel pipe, works like a champ-
i wouldn't use it for conjoining the intercooler pipes however

because silicone is flexible and can withstand vibration between the 2 parts. JBweld... well, cant. It doesn't like being sheared and torqued, not to mention there isn't much suface area there with a 1/16" wall pipe.
I agree with everyone else, weld em or couple them.
