ive been jacked....
i know this isnt the right post but im in need of some help from you guys. my g2turbo teg just got hit by some pshycopath dude and totaled the car. now my insurance gave permission to sell the car but never asked or let me know and lost completely everything in the car and the worst part is, im only getting 2,000 back for my turbo teg. thats wack, i lost my recipts and all and now the insurance wants me to show them the reciept even though i have it on video of my engine while it was still at the junk. they just wanna see a reciept and they will pay me back the money used on my car. the thing is, i used a good 3g invested under the hood itself and only getting back 2g.
im asking if anyone can help me out here and mail in me some reciepts for your guys turbo setups or a receipt of a kit you purchase, that should do. somehow, i came up on a shitty insurance thats works hella slow and lazy *** guys. took 1month just to estimate my car. been 2 months and the tow yard and the guys who bought my car made more then what im getting back. it just feels like they did me wrong not letting me know anything until i saw it, my motor and turbokit was up for sale at a racing shop for 2,700 complete. ughhhh, let me know if anyone can help me out with any reciepts, i need it asap, im seeing my lawyer on monday 10-27-03 and need the reciepts asap. mail it in or somehow. heres my e-mail g2ls_integ@yahoo.com
stuff i have under the hood....

all oil lines from feed line to return
turbonetics wastegate
custom pipings with 3inch from intake filter to turbo

Yeah, but those receipts he would be receiving would be a false representation of the items he has/had. If you still have access to the car, couldn't they just reimburse you for the full price of the damaged goods they can visually see?

if you're going to commit insurance fraud, do it the right way man. A public message board isn't that.
goto a tuner shop with shady morals and ask them to get a receipt and pay them a little side cash.
I'm not speaking from personal experience, just using common sense.
gl with the insurance company, but they may not budge b/c of no receipts.

That ****** sucks...
We pay a large chunk of money to insurance every year just to be able to drive our cars and all they do is treat people like crap if anything happens to our car.
Why dont you try to claim their insurance for injuries sustain.

goto the stores that sold you your parts and ask them. they gotta keep reciepts for 5 yrs i believe.
if they dont, you're on your own as i doubt the people here wish to be found wanting when their cars get jacked.
dont ask for reciepts ans sorry bout your car.

Also, to point out your stupidity; Don't you think receipts from shops all over the country would look rather fishy? Just delete your post man, cut yourself some trouble.

Re: ive been jacked....
most receipts with parts purchased over the net have identifying information ...i.e. Name , Address, email address,. last 4 of the credit card #, ect...
in fact I went through a huge stack of receipts out of curiousosity and couldn't find 1 that didn't have some of the above information on it.
The only way I can see this being done is if the receipts come from small local racing shops where the receipts are the small non-identifying type... but the problem with this is that it would be easy to check that the business is a local business and not an internet sales business. Receipts from all over the country from local shops which don't do internet sales is fishy.
Regardless , showing someone elses receipts to an insurance company is fraud and asking for help to commit fraud on a public forum isn't the smartest thing.. sorry guy.

Re: ive been jacked.... (g2ls_turbo)
Well if the insurance company sold your car without paying you for it then the motor and turbo setup that are at that shop you spoke of are stolen goods. You should contact the police to get your merchandise back.
Do you still have the title to the car?

Re: ive been jacked.... (hoggy)
whomever you bought parts from will have copies of the receipts, contact them and get copies.
Also that is illegal for them to purchase the totaled car from you without your permission. They give you 2 options, you buy it from them, or they buy it from you.

I don't think were getting the whole story. Your trying to get more money out of the insurance company for upgrades without receipts and they didn't offer to sell the car back to you sounds a little fishy to me but that's just my .02
