It's true.. bigger piping is better!
Here are some photo's of my new 2.5" DP thanks to Miami Muffler, excellent job and higly reccomended
View of the 2.5" flex
Notice one of my DP bolts decided to commit suicide and jump off my car
I'll try to get some pics of the 3" piping and Magnaflow 3" muffler later

Functional welds, if not pretty =P hehe
I got a good muffler shop on Bird that will do some custom work at good prices... they did a crazy job with my 3" DP and the guy helped me with the I/C piping... MM wanted to charge me and arm and two legs and take 3 days! *for future info
BTW, what length flex pipe are you running ?
* I once found one of my DP bolts in between my fans and radiator prior to installing my flex pipe !

Newbie Question----> How come you didn't go with a 3" downpipe if everything else is 3"? I noticed other people doing that too, but why?

On an integra, you have to clear the a/c compressor before you can go to 3" piping. Probably the same thing with civics.

Nah, you can do 3" on a Civic, but a 3" DP on an internal wategate as small a GReddy's isn't a good idea.. can you say boost spIIIIIIIIIke!
The tubing is mandrel bent BTW, and as for what kind of flex pipe, I have no idea.. it's there, it works, I'm happy

May just have been too loose after installation. The bolts are a pain in the *** to get too so the guy probably forgot to tighten it.. or maybe it just got sick of life and jumped?

The turbine housing gets really hot. I've lost DP bolts in the past, nothing you can do about it except use lots of loctite.

VTC_CiViC,
How much did Miami Muffler charge you? My friend's 3" cat-back (with testpipe) and resonated cost him $300 for his GSR. I'm also thinking of taking my car to them too. Did you work out a deal with them for your test pipe? They usually dont mess with it.

Well they didn't really make a testpipe. They just went from DP straight to catback, kinda bypassed the whole thing
Total was $600 for 2.5" DP, flex pipe, 3" catback w/ 2ndary O2 sensor bung welded in (I didn't ask for it, they just assumed since it was hanging there to weld a bung for it ), 3" Mangaflow muffler. Very good quality of work and it only took them a couple hrs when they got to my car

Miami muffler did my exhaust too. Excellent job as well. They charged me $300 to drop the old exhaust, install a header, custom 2.5" mandrel bent piping, resonator, and custom hangars for the apexi n1.
