Sorry about posting in the FI forum, but I know this gets the most hits, and I really need a quick response.

Will the 1998 JDM ITR LSD fit my LS tranny? I was told by some yes, and by some the final drive has to be replaced.
Here are some specs:
USDM B18B1 has a 4.266 final drive with S80/Y80 tranny
JDM B18C Spec R has a 4.785 final drive with S80 and Helical LSD
JDM SiR-G has a 4.400 final drive with S80/Y80 and Optional LSD
USDM GSR has a 4.400 final drive with Y80 tranny
USDM B18C5 has a 4.400 final drive with S80 tranny and Helical LSD

Will this fit? Thanks a lot guys, I really need this info.

If it doesn't work or requires too much money to make it work, I'm sure I can sell it again for more than I got it for.

 

no, it won't fit....
if you want to use it, you'll need the GSR or ITR final ring gear and main shaft

 

Yesh TurboT is right. A friend of mine tried a JDM Y21 LSD in his LS tranny and not luck since I have a y21 tranny ... guess who got a free LSD?

 

Well, my friend will give me his spare final drive from a GSR. It's a 4.400 which should work.
