Well I have a tial 50mm bov. Is there anything I can fix on the BOV? replace the spring?

I currently have a 11 psi spring in there which I thought was adequate, but is maybe 12psi better, or maybe 9psi?

Thanks for the response.

I thought it was the wastgaste spring so i put in 2 springs equalling 20psi of base boost. this did not help at all. however i did notice that the wastegat spring and wastegate spring housing was dirty. does that mean there is a leak in the diapram or is that normal?

Can this problem be caused by a faulty boost controller? Boost holds solid up to 24psi, but anything after that it goes crazy. This leads me to believe it could be the boost controller rather than the wastegate.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
that isn't what you said....

Haha thanks TIAL.

but in all seriousness, could something like the bov spring cause something like this? What could cause a BOV to open when its not suppose too? (other than maybe a bad vacuum source)

nothing, it won't open unless there is a leak in the feed line
