If your using P72 codebase in crome theres an issue with VTEC engagement, its not well known why, and it doesn't always happen.. but if you copy your maps to a P30 codebase it may solve your problem.. I've had this exact same problem in the past and found it was due to an issues with the P72 codebase in CROME, p30 should work better. Or you can just get eCtune. ; P

I finally made the switch to a ramhorn from a log after my motor blew and it made a huge difference. I went from 81.5mm to 83mm in my new build but I dont think that made too much of a difference. I went from 360hp to 416hp both on 15psi. All else the same, retuned of coarse. I'm sure Phil can cut you a deal on a ramhorn and with the cams i'd feel a lot safer making as more power at less psi with our crappy 91oct cali gas.

I've tried many different cams with my log manifold(rev hard) turbo b series car, everything from skunk2 stage 2's, cranes, gsr's, and type R cams. Anything bigger than Type R's on a log and power will drop off. I tried all kinds of adjustments on each of the cams. I spoke to mat keller about this issue awhile back and he seen similar results.

any pics of your dyno charts? do they look similar to mine? im glad someone chimed in with real life experience comparing the log manifold w/ similar cams. With Tony1's advice, I'm almost certain it's the log manifold, rather than some other problem.

I dont think changing the heat range on the plugs will solve this issue. Thanks for the compliment though

are you on the dyno with full exhaust? If you do then go open downpipe just to help with flow and see what happens. If it clears up somewhat then the manifold is at fault. When I ran it open downpipe it when from 360 to 392 on the same boost as mentioned before. Now that its not so wet outside do a pull and see if you feel it choke or bog at that point.

I ran with a full 3'' exhaust. I don't think there's much restriction there as opposed to open dp. Then again, i also don't wanna fork out extra dyno money just to see if running open DP on the dyno fixes the power drop. But i'll do a test drive this weekend with the car (no time right now being that the car is at home and im away for college)
