So, my problem is iratic idle. When I let the car warm up the idle sits about 1100 rpms. However, once I hit trafic the idle slowly increases untill it caps at just under 2000 rpms. By this time I can put the car in third gear and coast similar to an automatic. I have hondata so I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem as well. Thanks for any help.

 

Maybe a glitch in the tune?
Have your tuner take a look at it.

What part of Sac Town you from?

 

when was it tuned? and was it by a reputable tuner.

 

I doubt it has to do with the tune, this is happening to so many cares lately. It could be a vacuum leak, or one of the sensors on the throttle body. There's a thread on this in Tech.

 

FYI

Check your Fast Idle Thermo Valve (under throttle body) or IAC (behind intake manifold).

I am from sacramento but I go to school in sandiego. I believe my tuner is reputable but he wasn't able to do an though job due to my wg and stock clutch.
