intial turbo start-up...
ok, long story short...I bought a really, really, really fast 91 SI with an Ls turbo, but after some new-found boost filled glory, I see that my turbo is leaking a little oil.
I buy a new Turbonetics T3 to replace it with while I send it off to have the seals done, but what I want to know is what I need to do when I bolt up the new slug. I know it needs some oil circulation through it before it gets warmed up, but how do I go about that? It seems to be pretty straightforward, 5 bolt DP, 4 bolt flange, oil in, oil out, and turn the key, but somebody please tell me if thats all I need to do before I have 2 turbos that need seals

Re: intial turbo start-up... (mildly interesting)
make sure your oil return line is as direct as possible if it is twisted oil will build up pressure in the turbo and blow the seals

it's about 8 inches long to the front of the pan, so I don't thing that will be a problem...the car runs now with the leaky turbo on it, I just need to know what kinda prep I need for the new one...

Re: (mildly interesting)
I crank the car with the ignition disabled to run fresh oil through the feed line into a can. I put a little oil in the centersection before I assemble the feed fitting and put on the flushed out feed line.
