Default Internal WG and boost creep??

alright, ive been hearing from a few ppl that using an internal wastegate setup tends to cause boost creep? is this true? is there anything that will help rid of the boost creep?? i also know that its possible to reflange an internal WG and use an external but i really dont want to resort to that......... any help would be awesome.....

btw: my setup is gonna be the normal t25 and log style mani......... thanx

with mild boost levels, you will be perfectly fine.

you can have HUGE boost on internal wastegates though..if they're designed for it. just look at all the diesel guys. running 36+ psi on interal wastegate on HX40's all damned day.

The more boost you run, the less wastegate you need. It is easier to run 30 psi on an internal gate, than it is to run 5 psi.

With proper port work and wastegate flapper sizing, you will be fine.

I've got a greddy kit(15G) I run the stock 5 psi usually but I have a Greddy Profec-B spec II that I set to 8 psi on Hi. It'll spike about .5 psi more but nothing too much that the motor can't handle.

thanx for the responses............ soo in all actuality i will be fine with an internal WG setup with my boost controller set at 6..........

i do have to make the downpipe to accomodate the internal wg........ so should i just run the dump tube right into the downpipe like they do on homemadeturbo?
