Default internal wastegate adjustment

it there a way for me to turn the boost down on my dsm t25 i seem to remember hearing that i could screw the rod in and out... so what do i have to do make it shorter or longer

what i did was cut the rod and thread both ends with a spacer that was about an inch long threaded and nut so i could adjust it
