Internal or external wastegate?

i have a d16 with greddy 19t turbo with internal wastegate and was wondering what, if any, are the advantages of external over internal wastegate. id like a bigger turbo, but dont know which would be a better wastegate type.

All the really fast racecars i see all have external wastegates.Maybe because of turbo size or size limitations. Sorry,I dont really know. Im learning this turbo stuff myself also.

when i bought the car, he said he had a 15g on it but it limited the power so he went to the next bigger greddy and thats what he said it was. probably bs, i agree but fun as hell to drive
