Default Intercoolers and performance a must read

I ran across a page about the science of intercoolers. This website had so much info about intercoolers and their flow. This is a must read if you want the most out of your turbo and intercooler.

http://www.are.com.au/index.htm Look on the left cell of the page for a section called "Intercoolers a must read"

Something I found interesting:

"...because the outlet is in line on the other tank,- even worse!"

So inlet & outlet on the endtanks should NOT be in line with each other?

my idea is that the primary air will be " racist" against other tubes and take the most direct action instead of spreading out and utilizing all the tubes to clear.

the intercoolers with short verticle flow tubes are better design and a better choice than the traditional ones we use that go horizonal.

i think bar n plate is better, the air has a more direct way of getting into the tubes whle tube and fin has a bevel around the edges which sends turbulance in the air going intot he tubes. at least tahts what i learned from corky bell heheh
