Default Is Intercooler too big for Application

I got a b20 non v-tec turbo and my current intercooler is Core 18 x 10 x 2 in now i got a 24x12x3 in core and i'm having custom end tanks made but will i loose allot of presure or flow i'm using a t3 turbo compressor .70 turbine .48

From what I understand you really cant have too big of an intercooler. Just in some cases its overkill for an application. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

the only reason its considered overkill is when it starts dramatically reducing spool time.

hey bro dont mean to steal your thread. but i wont to know also. ok; so the rev hard stage 2 kit come with a 28x6x 3.5 and i want to go 28x9x2 should it effect the spool time. or should i leave it alone for quick spool up!

I think the 3.5" thick intercooler will be much more effective than a taller/wider but less thick. I understand that thickness is where the effeciency comes from.
