Re: INtercooler sprayer! (reXem)
I guess you could use a fire extingusher but what about at the track? or spraying as you are going down the track? My sprayer lets you spray anytime you want from inside the car.

Or you could do exactly what my little brother did to his talon.....
Get a CO2 bottle for a paintball gun, put it somewhere , he put it in his glovebox, run lines to the intercooler, put a little piece of hardline, and you got yourself a CHEAP sprayer.
Not trying to knock this, just telling you something else.

What about the Co2 displacing your o2 under your hood? I would think that some of the Co2 would end up in your intake causing some sort of power loss. That is if you spray it while going down the track. I guess you would have to weigh the benefits vs. drawbacks, less o2 in your intake vs. lower intake temps. If your air filter/intake is far enough away from your intercooler it probably wouldn’t effect it much at all but you would still get the benefit of the cooler intake charge.
But it would be great before you run or at a stoplight.
Just my $.02

I think its a good idea... only at the track though.. its makes complete scence if you know enough about how a turbo builds power... its like a very mild version of a 35 shot of n2o...
im thinkin about trying it out..

its activated by a on/off switch on the bottle I keep the bottle under my seat!its realy easy to use and its hidden. The sprayer works great at the track! I love mine I use it all the time Co2 is so cheap to fill! it cost about 3.00 to fill the tank alot better to use co2 than n20

I remember Matt over at hondavision saying you could rerout your windshield squiters to spray on your intercooler
I think it's a great idea. I have some CO2 bottles laying around and I'm super interested because I'm running a tiny SMIC.

You can, easily, but what's colder, evaporating CO2 or water??

With my setup, or the other methods?
with mine..haha hell no, I dont think its somethign you can feel. Maybe if I put a thermocouple in there to measure the intake temps...might notice a difference

What's cheaper water or Co2? Also what's already on your car?

most dragstrips will kick you out if they see you spraying water on your intercooler right before a pass. if you do it in the pits then i guess that would be ok, but i cant see it really helping to cool down the I/C a whole lot.

Since the kit's going in soon, I was going to sell my nitrous kit. However, the other day I got the idea to rig the purge valve to spray CO2 instead of N20.
