Default intercooler setuo question

So i just picked up my new turbo. Precision t67 and the inlet the oiping connects to is 3". My current setup is 2.5. Now my goal is 500whp, now my question is would There be a performance difference if i just put a reducer coupler on? Ratger than re doing the entire setup? Whats your input in this?

For the T67, the Compressor housing to the outlet should be either 2" (E cover) or 2.5" (S) cover. If you got the H cover you're more than likely 3". Otherwise, I'm thinking you're more or less the 2.5" flared that goes to the IC from the turbo.

Either way, using a reducer coupler to fit will not affect performance in a negative way.

Measure the Outer diameter of the compressor cover outlet please. (Part that uses a hose coupler to the intercooler) That looks like an H-cover.

agree, that appears to be too big for an E cover outlet

That's definitely an H-Cover, so if you have 2.5" piping, go ahead and use a reducer coupler. You don't have a choice unless you want to change backplates and covers. that's expensive, so go right ahead.
