Default intercooler question... help..?

hey i have a intercooler with a inlet and outlet of only 2inch but the actual openning is only 1.75inch... i want to bore it out so that the actual openning is 1.9inch, would the metal bids hurt my intercooler? or should i just have a shop chop it off and weld new ones on it..? already wasted enough money on the intercooler...

thanx in advance...

I would just let a shop do it.

Don't even bother with doing this...You will get no more power...If you want larger inlets, just weld on larger ones, don't bother boring the inlets out...They aren't like a throttle body...
