Default Intercooler question

Does anybody know if I change out intercoolers, do I have to get a retune also?

should not if your iat tables are tuned

nah i doubt it...i wouldnt worry about it to much...but i would ask your tuner to be on the safe side...

well the depth of my new intercooler is a bit deeper than my old one, probably about 1/2inch.

I highly doubt it.
Unless the new cooler drastically lowers Intake Air Temps, which under extreme conditions may make your motor run lean

If you were maxing your current FMIC out, chances are yes. You can't exactly tune for a cooler IAT at full boost if your setup never experienced it.

You can also run at different turbo shaft speeds due to a lower (or higher) pressure drop. That will affect the turbo efficiency, as well as the turbine flow. No Honda ems has a compensation table for changes in exhaust backpressure...
