Default Intercooler Question

Well, I'm piecing together a turbo kit for my '94 Civic hatchback and I've hit a roadblock.

I have a B18C1 swapped in, but I'm not sure about the intercooler/piping.

Would a Civic intercooler and GSR piping work or vice versa? Anybody know of any companies that specialize in hybrid Honda turbo swaps?

man, piping is the most STRAIT forward thing about a turbo setup... its easy...

just buy some mandrel bends and start mocking it up.. get a buddy to weld it for you.. or weld it yourself..

intercoolers arent CAR specific, unless its FACTORY intercooled, and since no civics are factory intercooled, im pretty sure you are fine...

take the intercooler, and make it work for your car..

if you cant mock something up, theres something wrong... but ill be nice about it

buy a piping kit or something for a GSR integra...

the 92-95 civic is the same chassis, so the motor would be in the same place, therefore, the piping would be in the same place..

unless its an EK, then its another story... but still CLOSE

i have a gsr intercooler kit on my turbo b16 92 civic hatchback and let me tell you that it fits but you can see the pipes under the bumper. I dont recomend it at all. Speed bumper and little bumps in roads are my worst enemy.

The only thing with intercooler piping is your intake manifold. If you have a GSR IM then you need GSR piping, if you have any aftermarket one then get the 92-95 piping for minimal cutting/fabing.

MANY places offer 92-95 piping with GSR IM

I talked to a friend at a local speed shop (they specialize in Mustangs) and he said he could help me with the intercooler piping...so that's out of the way.

Anybody have any specific intercoolers they use? I'm on a budget, but I don't want cheap crap...if you catch my drift.

I've already decided on a Garrett T3/T4 hybrid on a RevHard cast-iron manifold with a Tial wastegate.
