Default intercooler piping question

Last week at the track, i broke a mount and one of my intercooler piping came off. it didn't break all the way off, i can still drive it slowly and i've been driving it for a week without knowing that the intercooler piping popped off. i just found out today when i tried to boost a little to pass this car up and i noticed my boost gauge stayed at 0 psi. so my question is driving with the intercooler pipe off, does that hurt my motor in any way? thanks for any input...

as long as it hasnt sucked anything up or you havent over-reved the turbo because of a full boost run...no

It's not really bad for your motor, but since the pipe isn't connected you can't build boost. Therefore, your turbo is going to spin really fast with no restriction. Could be bad for the turbo if it was spinning too fast, but I can't say for sure.
