Default Intercooler piping issues

I need some help and i have some questions.

Can i use this Aluminum Intake for the Type r as part of mi Intercooler piping? What issues will i run through by having this 3" section of piping? I was told that the biggest the piping for the IC the more lag the turbo will have...I was thinking of doing 2.25" or 2.5 piping from the intercooler till it joins this 3" intake. As you will see from the pics the 2.25 or the 2.5" section will be just a short distance.

Also can i weld the BOV flange in there?I dunno if the intakes tubing material will allow it.

This is the intake as of today:

Right where mu finger points, i will cut that a lil to make space to put a 180 degree u turn to the intercooler..Thats where it will go from 2.25 or 2.5 to the 3" intake pipe.

I was thinking of doing a 3" DP to compensate since the bigger IC piping will make it spool later..I was told that the Bigger the DP th faster it will spool so its the opposite effect as the IC piping.

Also what diameter should i use from the compressor to the IC?

If it helps the setup will be:
8.5: CR
Log Manifold(one fab Mani in the future)
T3 Super 60 (.48 turbine .60 compresor)
GSR 60mm TB

If that is all you got, use it! It shouldnt be too bad. I would go with 2.25 to intercooler 2.5 after intercooler than transition to 3". You should also be able to find a GOOD welder with a TIG who can weld a flange to that aluminim. If not put it in the 2.5 section after the intercooler right before the 3".

The Blitz intercooler that came for my sr20 swap uses a 2.5" hot pipe then goes to 3" for the intercooler pipeing. No problem be it actuly gives you better top end but more lag. What turbo are you going to be using?

So, did you welded the BOV to the intake pipe? If so, does it holds well?

What about the RFL BOV? It just came with 2 lil tubes to weld it to the charge pipe and then mount the BOV there..They look like aluminum but im not sure.

One is aluminum and the other is steel. You want to use the silver one. The steel one is gold as far as I can remember.
