intercooler + fog lights
Ok right now i have a johnny race car 6x3x30 intercooler in my car and i want to sell it to my friend so i can get a better one for my b-series project. Only thing is i want to get fogl lights too and i've seen a lot of people have problems with the piping hitting the lights. So i was wondering what you guys are running. So if you have an ek civic with an intercooler and fogs, post up

most people running fog lights too just flip the intercooler upside down so the piping is above the fog lights, depending on where your outlets are on the intercooler
and the JRC intercooler works pretty good!!!!!

Yeah i like teh JRC intercooler but it looks like trash cause of winter and i want something nicer. Thing is, my piping is inside my bumper; all of it. And i like it that way. So i guess i'll just have to get creative

i'd did it on my car also. it was a pain in the *** to get the bumper on perfect but it can be done. im running a Yonaka Intercooler Type 10 22x9x3-inch (had to cut alil of the bumper support) and Spoolin Performance Intercooler piping kit. you have to trim the bottom foglight bracket also...

Re: (JDM_EM1)
wow you guys got some nice rides
see i like having the majority of the intercooler fill up the hole. The opening is about 28 inches, so i figure i can go a little smaller width wise because i don't mind seeing end tanks, but i don't want to see the couplers.
For example JDM EM1's IC is beautiful, but i don't like the space between the end tanks and the bumper.
JDM Rice's example is okay. You can see the End tanks, but the whole bumper area is filled. I can live with that.
what brand and sizes are your intercoolers? I'm looking to get something relatively cheap.
Here's what mine looks like, although it and my front end look like trash thanks to awesome new england winters

Lovin' the non-License plate bolt holes! Did you shave 'em or did you get that from somewhere?
I have a JRC, not sure of the size as I paid $50 from a buddy for it, and you can't see the endtanks or couplers but with 2.5" piping on either side, I had to cut out the places where the fogs go. It sucked but I have another bumper that I'm going to try to work things out so I don't have to cut and can put some fogs in there.

Re: (EX-T)
wow jdm rice yours is a 24x12x3? that's big. But it seems you got it to fit really well and the price is bitchin so maybe i'll go that route. I want to keep my piping inside the bumper so how do you do that? Also how did you mount it in there? You didn't do anything to the bumper support?

Re: intercooler + fog lights (JDMFantasy2k)
I just cut the bottom tab on my fog light bracket and it worked fine. (24x12x3....suppored by rad support....had to cut out the bumper support to fit it though.)
Made 400whp with it

I so want to have sex with your car
Anyway, yeah that seems nice. I just don't want to modify the support too much, and lose rigidity, or crash support. I don't need to get into a 5 mph dinger and end up with 2500 worth of damage. My only question is how bad is boost lag going to be with my turbo D series. I mean, i'll be rockin it for a bit before i get the b-series done

Re: intercooler + fog lights (Mr. Vapor)
Vapor, you mentioned to me that this is a Precision intercooler, but I can't figure out which one. Is it custom? 24x12x3 doesn't match what I found on their site:

Thanks again.

Oops, I don't know how I did it, but I posted the wrong link.
Here's a thread on intercoolers and foglights. Anyone who's done it and have pics should add to it and give a description on how you did it.
