i got someone selling a full setup for a d16y7 jrsc and I was wondering if this would go onto my d16y8, i know that the blower itself will mount up, but its all the other things i wanted to know about like the alternator pulley and such

 

The y7 & y8 are virtually the same, save for the intake manifold & head. The blocks use mostly the same parts. One certain thing is that the intake & exhaust flanges for civic 1.5L/1.6L d-series are all the same. People put y8 intakes on d16a6's and z6's all the time. I currently have a y7 and y8 block sitting at my house, and from what I can see they would share the same belts.

-I just checked, they are identical crank pulleys.

 

thats what i thought but i wanted to make sure before investing time and money and then finding out it doesnt fit

 

Superchargers and low tq 4 cylinders don't mix well.

 

well im not looking for a crazy amount of power and its pretty cheap, i just want something that will give me a little pep and some better low end torque
